This wine always lives life on the edge, its acidity almost tomato-like in its perkiness, its game and toast notes stretching to all corners. It’s a medium-weight wine, perfumed, complex and characterful, its red cherry flavours served with all the savoury trimmings, its finish dry. One thing it’s not is technocratic, and it may even be a little agricultural. But most importantly, it’s a wine with a lot of interesting things to say.
