South Pack are eight young winemakers from Victoria who have created “their own thing”. Four years ago they started their own roadshow through Melbourne and Sydney. Instead of pounding the floors by themselves they decided that they would put on a show together for the trade. Each year they look for a unique space to hold their event and invite the top trade and restaurant people to come for the ultimate tasting, meet the maker and try his wines, of course it is topped off with great music, some food and too much fun.
This year is the first time they are throwing the doors open to the public and tickets are limited. The tastings are free, all you have to do is RSVP here!

Don’t forget to keep this weekend free. 8 – 9 October 2011. A great weekend, not to be missed.
Due to the AFL Grand Final being played on the first Saturday in October in 2011, Heathcote Wine and Food Festival has decided to move the Festival to the second weekend of October – 8th & 9th hopefully for 2011 only (the AFL have indicated that the Grand Final in 2012 will revert to the last Saturday in September).
The Festival is a showcase of wines produced from grapes grown only in the Heathcote wine region. It is the ideal opportunity to taste these wines; this year the Festival will have over 50 wineries presenting around 200 wines available for free tastings and purchase by the glass or bottle throughout the weekend. Another favourite and important activity at the Festival is the Tasting Seminar program.
All this tasting is supported by a delicious range of regional food and produce, live music and entertainment for the kids. Visit Heathcote Winegrowers Association Inc. website for full details.
Once again Cellar & Store will be hosting a truly stellar line up of winemakers in Store, they’ll be showcasing some new releases and new varietals, not seen before in the market and they’ll be proudly welcoming you, together with some of the most distinguished names in the Australian wine industry.
