Could there be a better match than some of Australia and the world’s finest rosé wines, beautiful Australian pork charcuterie products and a Roof Top Bar overlooking the harbor? On Wednesday March 21 the three come together at the first Rosé Revolution and Porkstar Charcuterie Pop Up event.

The Roof Top Bar at Coast Restaurant will be transformed into a tasting feast with producers of textural, dry style rosè wines from around Australia and the world combining with several of our best Australian Pork charcuterie producers matching their wares from pancetta to chorizo.

Wineries, charcuterie producers and some of the Porkstar celebrity chefs will be on hand to pour and offer tips on matching the meats and wines. The success of the latest Porkstar campaign has resulted in this unique consumer event with pork and rosé joining together.

With the move in Australia towards dry styles of rosé and their huge success over summer, over 20 different rosé wines will be available from wineries including De Bortoli, Logan Wines, Rogers & Rufus, Turkey Flat and Chateau de Sours will illustrate the huge variety in styles and grape varietals that have made rosé so popular recently.

Campisi Continental Butchery, Montecatini and Salumi Australia will supply incredible charcuterie products all of which are produced with Australian fresh pork using age old techniques to produce the unique texture and favour found in European smallgoods. Pancetta, guanciale, Sardinian style salami, truffle salami, n’duja, cacciatore and cotechino will also be served.

Coast’s new head chef Ben Fitton, formerly of Sean’s Panaroma and Macleay Street Bistro, will be on hand to serve up some artisan canapés made with the meats to match perfectly with the rosé wines.

Roof Top Bar at Coast Restaurant, Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour Wednesday 21st March, 4pm – 7.30pm

Tickets are for sale for $25, contact Coast Restaurant on (02) 9267 6700 or poppy@coastrestaurant.com.au
