Rosé Revolution Roundup from Madame Brussels
on Nov 18 in Blog, Foster e Rocco, Wine by adminThe Rose Revolution was once again celebrated at Madame Brussels and according to @secondhelping they were ”spoilt for choice at Madame Brussels #roserev”
From what I can see it was all about stunning views, the rooftop balcony and bar, pink heart-shaped sunglasses…..and lots of rosé ( including Foster e Rocco) of course. Rambling Relish and Pete Dillon from Tusq share the celebration with us.
Rambling Relish: Rose Revolution
The ever glamorous Madame Brussels is always an event, especially when exiting the historic lift. The entrance into the inside bar is like entering into a 60?s Tennis club. As I walked though onto the rooftop bar I was greeted with this stunning view. Since my last visit there is one addition, a grand balcony overlooking the rooftop area and a greater outlook of the city.
The 2011 Foster e Rocco Rose was the first to stand out, it had a slight hint of fruit, delicate on the palate with a scent of summer. This for me would suit a lovely pomegranate and rocket salad on a Saturday afternoon. Adam Foster and Lincoln Riley have outdone themselves with this fine example of a Rose, and this will be a staple on my wine rack.

I am a fan of rose, dry, savoury, fruit driven rose that is not full of sugar.
Just a few days ago I joined a bunch of fabulous looking folk at the always lovely Madame Brussels in Melbourne to sample some offerings of some of the best dry, savoury rose’s from around Australia, and a few international offerings to boot.
Foster e Rocco’s 2011 Heathcote Rose is a ripper. A finely textured wine with a fragrant nose and dry, crisp refreshing finish. This is something I can drink a lot of. Sits second from the right in the above image.
